Yaakov Wider, a member of the Bnei Brak City Council and chairman of the Likud faction, unusually shared today (Sunday) a vote that was held on WhatsApp - on permission to use public space for the purpose of erecting Sukkot during the holiday.
Vider criticized the municipality's conduct and wrote: "Innovation in the style of the Bnei Brak municipality: a municipal hotline for residents on WhatsApp - not good. Council members' votes on WhatsApp - yes, good.".
It should be noted that only recently did Vider put forward an official proposal to establish a municipal WhatsApp hotline that would serve the city's residents, as exists in every local authority in Israel - but almost all council members voted against it and the proposal was not accepted.
“Unlike that proposal,” added Weider, “this vote looks like it will pass unanimously.”
