Firefighters from the Judea region worked today (Monday) on a fire that broke out at the Amshinov Yeshiva in the Haredi city of Beitar Illit.

The teams that arrived at the scene identified a portable structure on fire, located near the yeshiva's beit midrash, while dozens of students were present.

The forces attempted to make contact with the source of the fire, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby buildings - while simultaneously evacuating the students from the yeshiva complex.

During the scans conducted by the teams, tefillin that were at the center of the fire were found to be completely intact. The tefillin were returned to their owner, who thanked the teams for their action.

Reshef Yehondev Lipshitz, shift commander: "The teams that arrived at the scene quickly made contact with the source of the fire while we evacuated the students from the yeshiva complex. We prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby Beit Midrash, just before it was also engulfed in flames.""
