For years, businessman and social activist Eviater Elbaz went on rescue and aid missions, as part of his activities in the ZAKA organization and various rescue organizations.
This afternoon (Sunday), on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, he experienced a personal and family miracle, when a 40-kg iron 'missed' his two-and-a-half-year-old son's head by a centimeter - and hit his leg.
Elbaz, now a resident of Kiryat Malachi, described: "It was a very scary moment. The house was filled with blood, the little children burst into tears and my wife was distraught. Within minutes, paramedic Shneur Zalman Weisfish from Ihud Hatzalah arrived - a true angel - who stopped the bleeding, treated the child with dedication and calmed the entire family in a time of stress."
Elbaz added that for many years he was on the helping side and "it's really unpleasant to be on the side that calls for help.".
Son Lavi was miraculously saved, as mentioned, when a 40-kg iron suddenly fell and hit his leg and, God forbid, his head, which prevented a very serious disaster. "He left the hospital half an hour ago. God's grace," says Father Eviatar.

The father, Eviater Elbaz, wanted to give the medic a gift of 500 NIS as a token of gratitude, but Shneur Zalman refused to take it and asked to donate the amount to charity.
The medic humbly added: "We are not here for money, but to save lives and help every Jew in time of need.".
Elbaz concluded with excitement: "This is simply an angel, a righteous young man, who dedicates his life to saving lives with endless dedication.".
