Serious development: In a raid by IDF, Shin Bet and Yamim forces last night (Friday night), under Shin Bet intelligence guidance, a terrorist cell was captured in the Ramallah area, which was manufacturing rockets - which it intended to launch towards communities in Judea and Samaria.
Members of the cell are suspected of launching a rocket from the village of Naama last week.
According to a report by Amit Segal, the rockets that were captured tonight ready to be fired were aimed at communities outside Judea and Samaria.
As part of the operation, security forces closed in on the criminal building where the suspects were and fired at it. Following the shooting, the three suspects emerged and were arrested by the forces.
Dozens of rockets were found in the building, including two rockets intended for launch without a warhead, dozens of charges and explosives, along with findings linking them to the production and attempted launch of rockets.
A lathe for manufacturing rockets was also located. At the end of the activity, the forces destroyed the rockets and explosives.
The suspects were transferred to the General Security Service for further investigation.
This is the first squad engaged in the production and firing of rockets in Judea and Samaria.
This is the same cell that produced two rockets that were seized last week and incorrectly described by the military as dummy rockets. Examination of the item revealed that it was without a warhead and without standard explosives. It did, however, contain explosives - which constitutes a dangerous escalation.
Last week, late at night, a homemade Qassam rocket was launched near residential homes in the village of Niama in western Binyamin, a village located about 4 km from the Haredi city of Modi'in Illit.
