A record number of 700 orphans, of mitzvot age, celebrated their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, in the "Mitzvah Land" chain of events, with its rich and invested educational content. The event led to a peak of happiness, tears of joy, which mixed with the jubilation of the sons and daughters of the families of the "Rehabilitation Division" of the National Insurance Institute - who were invited to the celebration.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah brides and grooms came with all their families: grandparents, parents, brothers and sisters – to participate in a fun, stormy and overwhelming, exciting and one-of-a-kind festive day, masterfully produced by 'Chesed Menachem Mendel', the educational arm of 'Kollel Chabad'.
The series of events was held at Superland. The boys and girls enjoyed detailed content, specifically designed for each group.
The family members arrived, in organized transportation from all over the country, and joined in the festive day. The National Insurance Institute's rehabilitation teams warmly and attentively hosted those who came, with each mitzvah groom and mitzvah bride being given a personal gift - and the parents and family members were given the opportunity to hear about the activities of the rehabilitation departments that assist families who have experienced loss and bereavement throughout the year, in a variety of areas that allow them to look forward with hope and find relief from the terrible pain.
In the Chabad kollel, they mobilized, as is tradition, to plan and manage the complex day, with careful thought given to every detail. The Mitzvah-Land complex was dressed in celebration. In the large auditorium, performances and plays were staged.
In addition, a huge workshop complex was established where the children enjoyed content and creative activities: the process of making the shofar, exposure to the process of making tefillin, making a huge Havdalah candle from real beeswax, making a unique perfume kit, making a Kiddush cup while decorating the glass in a personal artistic way, and making a personal artistic and prestigious charity fund; all while using the best modern equipment from the "Israeli Holiday Workshops" company.
Another huge complex offered a sumptuous meal throughout the day, abundant and unlimited: a variety of hot soups; salads and fresh rolls, meat and fish, and all kinds of delicacies, all in abundance.
In another corner, the boys could put on tefillin and dance with Torah scrolls, with a tallit waving above their heads by the 'Chesed Menachem Mendel' team, who sang and danced in their honor.
In the midst of the event, Zvika Cohen, Deputy Director General of the National Insurance Institute, spoke.
Chabad Kollel Chairman Rabbi Shalom Duchman concluded: "We are grateful for the privilege of joining such a joyful and moving initiative, which gives strength and joy to these precious families. This is the mission of Chesed Menachem Mendel, and we gladly respond to any challenge that can add light, strength and abundance of goodness to every family and every boy and girl, especially those who unfortunately experienced a family tragedy of the loss of a parent who was not ours.".
""From our experience over decades, events and initiatives of this type provide strength and spiritual empowerment, good and strengthening memories, which will accompany and strengthen the participants for a long time to come.".
