National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called today (Tuesday) for a halt to the hearings in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trial - until the end of the campaign in Gaza.

""The fact that last night the campaign in Gaza began, and after a sleepless night the Prime Minister was forced to come and testify in court because the Deep State is under pressure to advance the trial is unbearable," Ben Gvir wrote.

He added: "It's as if the courts are not overloaded and the judges have no other cases to hear. It's time to stop these delusional hearings and resume them after the campaign is over.".

He mentioned: "If the trial of Ronal Fisher and Ruth David can drag on for 10 years, the trial of the Prime Minister can also wait in the middle of a war.".

During the hearing, the Prime Minister received a note and, after reviewing it, told the judges that the hearing should be shortened by three hours, because he had to leave at 3:00 PM.

""I will have to leave at three and I don't know how long it will take. I am close and if it is possible I will be able to know around 4:15 if I can return," Netanyahu said.

Judges Rivka Friedman-Feldman and Oded Shaham asked the prosecution to shorten the questions regarding businessman Arnon Milchan, claiming that the issue had been exhausted. Prosecutors Gildin and Tadmor objected.
