The terrorist who boasted of murdering 10 Israelis in the October 7 massacre was eliminated in an airstrike.
According to Arab reports, the murderous terrorist Mahmoud Afana was eliminated in Deir al-Balah in the center of the Gaza Strip last Thursday.
The IDF has not yet definitively confirmed that he was eliminated, but military sources say it appears he was killed in an air force strike.
The shocking tape in which he repeatedly boasted about the murder was revealed two and a half weeks after the massacre in a discussion at the UN Security Council.
The then Foreign Minister, Eli Cohen, released a recording of the terrorist talking to his parents.
""I'm talking to you from a Jewish woman's phone. I killed her and her husband. I killed 10 with my own hands," he told his father. Afana called him from the phone of one of the murdered women, which was later located during the searches in the envelope.
""Dad, 10 with my own hands. I'm in the middle of nowhere. Dad, I killed 10. Their blood is on my hands. Give me mom.".
The terrorist's mother to her son: "Oh my son, may God protect you.".
The terrorist: "My life, 10 with my own hands, I felt 10 with my own hands.".
Mother: "May God bring you back safely.".
The terrorist: "Dad, go back to WhatsApp, I want to do a live broadcast for you from Mefalsim.".
The terrorist's mother continued to encourage him: "I wish I were with you.".
The terrorist: "Mom, your son is a hero.".
At this point, the terrorist's brother joined the conversation and asked him: "Did you kill 10?", and the terrorist replied: "Yes, I killed 10, by the way.".
The brother asked the terrorist if he was in Zikkim, the terrorist replied: "I am in Mefalsim, not in Zikkim. I am the first to enter under the protection and help of Allah. Raise your head up, father.".
The brother turned to the terrorist and urged him to return to Gaza. The terrorist replied: "What kind of return? There is no return. It's either death or victory. How will I return? Open WhatsApp, see how many people have been killed. How I killed them with my own hands.".
