Following a request from the Freedom of Information Movement: The Israel Police has released national crime data in major cities relative to population, which reveals the full crime map, and the localities with the highest rate of violent crimes - which were analyzed in Madelen for News 12.

Business owners, have you suffered damage from the 'Am Kalavi' campaign? Has your income been affected? Is there a grant? • Advance

The data received includes only serious violent offenses - including murder, attempted murder, robbery, threats and assault.

According to the analysis of the data, in first place in Israel and by a large margin is the city of Beer Sheva, where the crime rate is the highest in Israel by a huge margin compared to the other 25 largest cities in Israel.

The data reviewed the last five years, and shows that Ramla is in second place, followed immediately by Rahat. Following them on the dubious list are the cities of Ashkelon, Bat Yam, Lod, Nazareth, and Hadera.

In terms of murder victims alone, the city that leads by a very large margin is Lod, where 52 people were murdered in the last 5 years - almost 58% more than any other city in Israel during the same period. It is followed by Nazareth, where 33 people were murdered, Tel Aviv - 31, Ramla, neighboring Lod - 30, and Haifa - 29.

And where are the lowest crime rates in Israel?

According to the data, the major cities with the lowest crime rate in Israel are Modi'in Elite, Modi'in Maccabim Re'ut, Ra'anana and Bnei Brak.

According to Madelen's analysis of police data, the Southern District recorded the most victims of violent crimes in the past 5 years: more than 44,000. Jerusalem recorded about 38,000, Tel Aviv about 30,000, the North about 9,000, and Haifa 5,756. It should be emphasized that the data is affected by the size of the population in the district.

The Judea and Samaria region is at the bottom of the list by a large margin: only 1,203 victims of violent crimes.

The analysis also shows that the majority of victims (53%) are men, and Jewish victims or victims of unknown religion constitute a majority of 70% of the total victims - similar to the proportion of Jews in the Israeli population.

Also, the number of victims has remained relatively stable over the past 5 years, and of the violent crimes examined, the most common crime by a large margin is the crime of threats.
