Iris Haim, the mother of the late Yotam Haim, who was accidentally killed in Gaza by IDF fire, revealed this morning (Sunday) on the "Israel Morning" program with Tal Meir on Channel 14, the harsh and shocking response she received - after publishing a post in which she expressed her opposition to the strike in the economy.
The bereaved mother began to read live the shocking response she received: "A girl named Michal writes: 'Get out of our sight already. The demonstrations tomorrow are intended to change the government, which decided to abandon the kidnapped to their deaths. There is no other way.".
The response continued: "Your prime minister funded Hamas for years, didn't listen to the army's warnings... and now the one-day stop of solidarity is what divides the people? Go ahead, grieve a little and learn from Einav Tsengaukar how to be a proper mother. Shame.".
After finishing reading, presenter Tal Meir expressed hope that Haim does not take "these words of the swallow to heart.".
Haim replied that she was not personally offended, but saw the response as proof of her main claim against the strike.
""I don't take it, but it serves what I want to come and talk about," explained Haim. "If a person in the people of Israel writes to me, to the bereaved mother, that because I said that I thought the strike was inappropriate and not good for the people of Israel, then I became an 'Israeli traitor' - that's exactly the point. That's what we're talking about, what this strike is doing to the people of Israel.".
