One hand recruits, the other closes routes: In light of the IDF's decision to issue 54,000 recruitment orders to young Haredi men in July, two Haredi tracks in the IDF are expected to be closed to new Haredi recruits.
According to a report by Mandy Rizel, the military correspondent for Kol Berama Radio, this is the Tomer Company in the Rotem Battalion of Givati and the Negev Company, which secures the Nevatim Air Force base.
According to army sources, "the Givati Brigade discovered that recruiting the Haredi - certainly during a war - is a major challenge that requires the allocation of large resources and manpower, compared to any normal route, and they did not have the attention to it.".

In addition, "inconsistencies were found in the Negev Party in terms of religion in several cases.".
However, for now the trails will remain open for those already on them.
The IDF confirmed that, as of now, there will be no new recruitments for these tracks.
