According to a report this morning (Thursday) by Yaara Shapira on Channel 2, National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has already demanded the Interior and Housing portfolios - which were held by Shas and United Torah Judaism.
Regarding the Housing Ministry, Ben-Gvir's entourage explained that they intend to reduce land prices in the Negev and Galilee for reserve servicemen - and that is why they want the ministry.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich is demanding that a member of his party be appointed chairman of the Finance Committee, instead of MK Ofir Katz of the Likud, who heads the Knesset and Coalition Committee - and temporarily replaces MK Moshe Gafni, who has retired.
Netanyahu's entourage estimated that the religious affairs portfolio would also be held by the Religious Zionist Party.
Several Likud ministers demanded that Netanyahu upgrade their positions to the ministries vacated by Shas - including the health, labor, and welfare portfolios.
However, it appears that Netanyahu would prefer to keep the CEOs and staff members of Shas and United Torah Judaism in the government offices, as he did after the retirement of Itamar Ben-Gvir and Yitzhak Goldknopf.
Last night, Shas' Council of Torah Sages decided to withdraw the party from the government - but not from the coalition.
