How is it possible that the generation that experienced the Holocaust, terror, and social division is the one that will bring about redemption? Every tragedy makes us feel like a failed generation. The difficulties and crises we have gone through make us feel fragile, the unique challenges of the generation bring thoughts that we are less holy, and the divisions among us prove to us that we are unworthy of the Messiah. That our pain keeps redemption away.
