This is where the future generation of Chabad emissaries grew up: The Torah Shlomo Kollel, founded by the Chabad Governor and Shliach, Rabbi Yitzhak Mishan, and in collaboration with the Chabad Kollel, announces the expansion and opening of an additional branch for the year 2016.

The goal of the network of kollelim is to train Hasidic avrechim who are preparing to go on missions in Israel and abroad, as the Lubavitcher Rebbe famously said: "In order to succeed in missions, one needs appropriate preparation, and among them is at least one year of studying Torah with animals and with a kach, etc."

The new kollel will open in Lod, in a location accessible by transportation and close to central Chabad communities - Lod and Kfar Chabad.

The new branch was opened, in addition to the existing branch in Beitar Illit, which provides a solution for the Abrahim who live in Beitar Illit and the Jerusalem area.

The Kollel network's study program, "Torat Hashlichot," led by the devout Chasid Rabbi Michael Shlomo Avishid, offers young men theoretical and practical study of halakhic matters pertaining to the life of a missionary.

A comprehensive Hasidic study program with the guidance of influential people and meetings, professional training to prepare for shlichus by numerous content experts, and an up-close introduction to the world of shlichus through meetings and lectures with the Rebbe's emissaries.

In addition, the group holds a training course and seminars for the wives of the Abrechim - the future missionaries.

Married and Hasidic avrechims are accepted into the kollel, who wish to study very seriously and diligently and aspire to go on mission within a short period of time after the end of the kollel year.
