The Ministry of Jerusalem and Jewish Tradition concluded the Rashbi celebration operation in Meron as a "great success.".

From the early hours of Thursday, the eve of Lag BaOmer, tens of thousands began arriving in Meron, making their way via the transportation system provided by the Ministry of Transportation, with buses from all over the country and additional trains heading toward Karmiel.

According to the latest estimates, the number of participants in the celebration reached nearly 200,000 people. During the entire day of the celebration, more than 140,000 people entered to pray in Holy Zion.
During Shabbat, tens of thousands stayed in Meron as a continuation of the Rashbi celebration in Meron. With the end of Shabbat, an organized transportation system was activated throughout the country. All those interested in doing so successfully set off on their journeys.
On Saturday night, thousands made their way to prayer in Meron, while an ultra-Orthodox orderly system was activated in Zion.
Labor and Welfare Committee Chairman MK Israel Eichler praised: "With the conclusion of the great Hilula operation in honor of Rashbi, we thank God, blessed be He, within the community of Israel, that everything went smoothly. Special thanks to my friend, Minister of Jerusalem and Jewish Tradition, Rabbi Meir Porush, for the exemplary and successful organization of the event, with sacred reverence, starting from the planning and initiation stages that took place months before Lag BaOmer, to the actual execution on the day of the Hilula for the tens of thousands of worshipers.".

MK Eichler added: "In these difficult days, and after the terrible disaster that occurred four years ago in Meron, we know how difficult it is to receive divine assistance so that the operation will be a great success, while maintaining maximum safety for those who climb the mountain, without harming the joy, accessibility, and feelings of ascension. The merit of Rabbi Shimon ben Rabbi Yochai will stand with all those engaged in the work, may God, the Blessed, reward them, and may all the prayers of the people of Israel be accepted willingly before the Lord of all, Amen.".
Degel Hatorah Chairman and Finance Committee Chairman MK Moshe Gafni also congratulated: "The Rashbi's celebration operation on Mount Meron ended in a great success. We approved in the Finance Committee a total of NIS 120 million for the Meron budget - for permanent infrastructure in a place that needed renovation and expansion in accordance with the ruling of the Meron Disaster Investigation Committee, while preserving the character of the place.".
