Following information received by the police about fake eggs that could reach Israeli citizens, police officers from the Etzion station in the Shi'ite district and Border Guard soldiers destroyed yesterday (Monday) in the town of Al-Hader, near Bethlehem, 26,000 eggs with fake stamps that were ready to be distributed throughout the country - and included fake kosher for Passover.

The forces worked together with the Chicken Coop Council in the town of Al-Khader, where they raided a warehouse where they located 26,000 eggs with fake stamps, which were ready for marketing and distribution throughout the country.

The eggs were destroyed by the forces and the place was closed.

This is not the first time that illegal egg activity has been detected ahead of Passover.

Last week, Border Guard soldiers in the Jerusalem area, in cooperation with crossing guards and customs workers, thwarted the smuggling of approximately 30,000 eggs that were illegally transported without permission from the Ministry of Health from the territories of Judea and Samaria.
