Commentator Amit Segal addressed the media clash between Defense Minister Yisrael Katz and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir today (Tuesday) in the News 12 studio, which was expressed in statements they sent to the media.

Segal expressed reservations about the conduct of both sides. Referring to Katz's original statement, he said: "There really is no need to announce it in the media." However, he also criticized the Chief of Staff's response: "You are the Chief of Staff and you will receive announcements in the media, or by fax, carrier pigeon, whatever happens.".

Segal later criticized the nature of the public debate that developed around the issue. "So Zamir is not a servant and a pawn of a full-fledged dictatorial right-wing government, and the army fell after the police fell and everything is irrelevant? Here is the proof that he did not appoint him a general?""

On the other hand, he wondered whether it was possible to give the Chief of Staff "a moment of grace before allowing him to speak at Kaplan" - and emphasized that matters must be kept to a minimum.

Segal posted another response alongside the video of his remarks: "What will be done now in the reservoirs of holy rage against the Chief of Staff, when it suddenly became clear that he is not a judge of the dictatorship government?""
