Under the direction of the political echelon: The IDF and Shin Bet launched a widespread attack on Hamas terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip last night (Tuesday). This was reported by an IDF and Shin Bet spokesperson.

Hamas's Health Ministry claims that at least 412 were killed and more than 500 injured in IDF strikes in the Gaza Strip, which reportedly targeted dozens of targets.

Among the senior figures who were eliminated: Abu Ubayda al-Jamasi - a member of Hamas's political bureau, Essam a-Daalis - a member of Hamas's political bureau, Mahmoud Abu Tafa - a senior official in the Hamas government's interior ministry, Bahjat Abu Sultan - a senior official in Hamas's internal security apparatus, and Abu Amr al-Hatta - a senior official in the Hamas government's justice ministry.

The attack was commanded by the Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, along with Shin Bet head Ronen Bar, from the bunker in Kirya.

At the request of the Prime Minister and with the consent of the Attorney General's Office, the judges canceled the scheduled hearing in Netanyahu's trial.

The Prime Minister's Office stated: "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz have instructed the IDF to act forcefully against the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. This is after Hamas repeatedly refused to release our hostages and rejected all the offers it received from the US presidential envoy, Steve Witkoff, and from the mediators. The IDF is currently attacking targets of the Hamas terrorist organization throughout the Gaza Strip, with the aim of achieving the war goals as determined by the political echelon, including the release of all our hostages - living and dead.".

""From now on, Israel will act against Hamas with increasing military force. The operational plan was presented late last week by the IDF, and approved by the political echelon.".

Defense Minister Yisrael Katz commented on the renewed fighting in Gaza and said: "Tonight we returned to fighting in Gaza in light of Hamas' refusal to release the hostages and threats to harm IDF soldiers and Israeli communities.".

Katz added: "If Hamas does not release all the hostages, the gates of hell will open in Gaza and the murderers and rapists of Hamas will meet the IDF with forces they have never known before. We will not stop fighting until all the hostages return home and all the goals of the war are achieved.".

In light of the renewed fighting, it was decided that, starting at 2:00 AM, the Home Front Command's defensive guidelines will be updated. As part of the changes, the Gaza perimeter control zone will move from a full activity level to a reduced activity level, which does not allow for educational activities.

The Western Negev and Western Lachish guidance areas remain unchanged - full activity. "The guidelines published by the Home Front Command through official distribution channels must continue to be followed. The full guidelines are updated on the National Emergency Portal and in the Home Front Command app.".

In addition, following instructions from security officials, train traffic between Ashkelon and Sderot stations was temporarily suspended, and a shuttle system was operated between them.

The Hamas terrorist organization responded to the renewed Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip. "Netanyahu and Israel bear full responsibility for the consequences of the treacherous aggression in Gaza. Netanyahu and his extremist government are making a decision to reverse the ceasefire agreement, exposing the hostages in Gaza to an unknown fate. We demand that the mediators hold Netanyahu and Israel fully responsible for violating the agreement and canceling it.".

Caroline Levitt, a White House spokeswoman, said in an interview with Fox News: "Israel consulted with the Trump administration and the White House in advance of the attacks on Gaza. As President Trump has made clear, Hamas, the Houthis, Iran, and anyone who seeks to terrorize - not only Israel but also the United States - will pay a heavy price. The gates of hell will open.".
