As part of the security preparations: The Samaria Regional Council held a ceremony today (Monday) to distribute 21 Ranger vehicles to communities and farms in the young settlement, as part of the security components project that Minister Strok is leading in the young settlement and farms, in cooperation with Central Command and implemented by the Settlement Division and the Samaria Regional Council.

Minister of Settlement and National Missions Orit Struk spoke at the event and said: "I have been given a great privilege, accompanied by an enormous responsibility: the right to strengthen security on farms throughout Judea and Samaria. The farms are the most important and significant settlement act in the West Bank, because they completely change the perception of the area, greatly expand our grip on the area, and in fact provide the best and most significant response to the project and plot to take over the area led by the PA. The people of Israel and the State of Israel owe a huge debt to the farmers, who took on this mission and are doing it with wonderful dedication. The State of Israel, through the Ministry of Settlement, cherishes the farms, and does everything possible to secure them. I am blessed to have been given this important position.

It is important to praise the Central Command, headed by Major General Avi Balut and the Chief of Staff of the General Staff, Elitzur Trabelsi, who work together with us in excellent coordination and with great care, committed to this important mission. The Settlement Brigade, which, as always, can be trusted and rejoiced in its execution. And of course the heads of the councils, here in Samaria, Council Head Yossi Dagan, who deeply understand the tremendous importance of the farms and are fully committed to the mission.

The head of the Samaria Council, Yossi Dagan, noted the importance of the move and thanked the minister: "Settlement and security are intertwined - this is a lesson that the State of Israel learned the hard way, and this is the truth that we have been carrying here in Samaria for over 40 years. The heroes and heroines of the farms stand at the head of the arrow of the Zionist enterprise, and the entire people of Israel look up to them. The farms are their civilian patrol - saving the country. Our job is to strengthen them with material and means for victory in this holy campaign. Honorable Minister Orit Struck, no one is more worthy than you to lead the strengthening of the settlement with dedication and a national vision. We pray that these vehicles will be used for security, agriculture, construction and creativity - because this is what our pioneers know how to do best. Thank you to all the partners!""

Gael Greenwald, Chairman of the Settlement Division, added: "Churchill's statement that never were so many indebted to so few is very true in the context of the event we are marking today.

""On the settlement front, the farmer families are the few who guard tens of thousands of dunams for all Israeli citizens. The farmers have shouldered a national mission. I am excited and happy for every opportunity we have as a settlement division to assist the farms. Today's ceremony is part of a very broad assistance package that we, together with the Settlement Ministry and in coordination with Central Command, are providing to the farms."

Aryeh Cohen, head of the Dead Sea Scrolls Council: "I think this really strengthens us, strengthens our hold on the area, and this is another step in our hold on the ground. We will continue to strengthen our hold and together we will carry out the appropriate patrols and the appropriate supervision. I want to thank Sarah Orit Struk, the Ministry of Settlement and the Settlement Division.".
