Following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's complaint:  The police decided today (Sunday) to summon former Shin Bet chief Nadav Argaman for questioning, after a consultation held by the head of the police's Investigations and Intelligence Division.
According to a report on Channel 12, before the summons, a dozens-page opinion was prepared by the police investigations division, and a senior meeting was held to examine the facts and the written opinion.
The summons will likely be sent without authorization from the Attorney General's Office to open an investigation, as in investigations of public figures or incitement offenses, because Argman does not currently hold an official position, but despite this and due to his sensitive occupation over the years, this is an exceptional case.

Netanyahu filed a police complaint against Argaman last Thursday and sent an "urgent letter" to Commissioner Danny Levy, following an interview on Channel 12, in which Argaman claimed that he would reveal information from private meetings with the prime minister if he thought he was acting against the law.

According to Netanyahu, Argaman tried to blackmail him with threats on live broadcast.

According to commentator Amit Segal, the police did not consult with Yoamshit, despite her desire to be involved, since Argman does not currently hold any official position. According to him, behind the scenes, there was concern in the police that Rabbi Meara would have delayed the handling of the case, as she did in the case of MK Gilad Kariv, who leaked information from the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee.
