A delegation of eight captive survivors met with US President Donald Trump at the White House this evening (Wednesday).
The delegation, which landed in Washington yesterday, includes the hostages released in the current deal: Doron Steinbracher, Eli Sharabi, Naama Levy, Yair Horn, Omer Shem Tov, Keith Siegel. Also included are Aviva Siegel, who was released in the first deal in November 2023, and Noa Argamani, who was rescued by the IDF in June.
The eight came to thank the Trump administration for its commitment to returning all the abductees and told the president firsthand about the horrors of the Hamas tunnels.
Omar Shem Tov told the president: "My family and I believe you were sent by God to free the kidnapped. You can really help. You have the power to do it.".
Naama Levy added: "You were our hope while we were there, and now you are their hope.".
President Trump asked the captive survivors: "You didn't think until I arrived that you would leave?""
All seven answered: "No.".
Naama explained: "Since you were elected, we've heard that you've done everything to make a deal as quickly as possible.".
Eli Sharabi added: "We were very happy. Now we have to do it again.".
To Doron Steinbracher he said: "Take care of yourself. We are doing our best, thank you dear, take care of yourself, the stories are terrible. We will get them out. You have a good future ahead of you, I tell you.".
Trump made it clear that he threatened Hamas, saying: "You better give us our people back.".

The released hostages presented the president with a gold plaque with the inscription: "Whoever saves one life is as if he had saved the entire world.".
Earlier, survivors of captivity visited the headquarters of the families of the hostages in Washington. The headquarters that the returnees visited has posters of all the hostages hanging, and each survivor wrote a personal message on his poster.
