Baruch Dayan Al-Amet: At Tel Hashomer Hospital, educator Mrs. Shulamit Biton-Bluy, may God have mercy on her, widow of the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Biton, zt"l, author of "Shlomi Shimon," and, in a second marriage, widow of the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Bluy, zt”l, member of the Badatz of the Haredi Eda.

The late A.H., who was born in Tunis, was an educator who educated thousands of students all over the world, when she taught in schools and seminaries in France, England, and the United States. She was a renowned lecturer and educator, and orphans and widows were always members of her household.

She was married for about five years to the immigrant Levi, zt”l, and when he passed away, many Torah luminaries came to comfort the mourners at her home.

During the Passover holidays, she functioned as usual and showed no signs of weakness. On Shabbat, due to shortness of breath, she was taken to Tel Hashomer Hospital by her son Rabbi Chaim Biton - where she died this morning.

She left behind five sons and three daughters, and dozens of grandchildren who follow in her footsteps.

Her funeral left at 1:30 p.m. from the home of her son, Rabbi Chaim Biton, at 13 Dvora Hanevi'a Street in Bnei Brak, to the Beit HaChaim of the Ponovizh Yeshiva Trustees, where she will be buried next to her husband, Rabbi Shimon Biton zt'l.
