Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu requested today (Sunday), for the second time, to postpone the start of his testimony in the thousands trial being conducted against him in the Jerusalem District Court, after the court refused to allow it about two weeks ago.

Netanyahu is now claiming again that he is not prepared to begin his testimony next week, also due to the decision of the court in The Hague to issue arrest warrants, which led to the cancellation of preparatory meetings with his lawyers.

The Prime Minister requested a 15-day postponement.

About two weeks ago, the judges of the Jerusalem District Court rejected Prime Minister Netanyahu's request to postpone his testimony in court.

The decision then stated: "Although events occurred during the war, some of which are detailed in the request before us, some of which were known at the time the decision was made, and we were not convinced that there had been a fundamental change in circumstances that might justify changing the date set in the decision.".
