Today (Monday) at a cabinet meeting, the cabinet ministers attacked the conduct of the legal advisor to the government, Gali Baharav Meyara - who, according to them, is doing everything to thwart the government. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the proposal to fire Baharav Meyara: "She is against us. She wants to solve this." National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir was the first to come forward with the attack. He said in a discussion on the issue of overcrowding in prisons: "The solution of the lockdown is temporary, until they allow community detention, which will free up many more places. The problem is that the legal advisor is opposed. She opposes everything good." Minister David Amsalem responded to Ben-Gvir: "Everything has stopped with her. Because of her, we have switched to working through private bills." In response to Amsalem and Ben-Gvir, Communications Minister Shlomo Kerei said: "She needs to be fired." Amsalem pointed his finger at Deputy Attorney General Gil Limon - and said: "He and she are to blame for everything." Ben Gvir replied: "Unfortunately, she also tried to prevent the distribution of weapons. Today, everyone understands how much it saved lives." At this point, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intervened: "This is legal advice against me. We saw what was approved in the previous government, illegal gas agreements, appointments in the interim government. It is impossible to work like this. I ask the opponent to give a proposal on how to solve it. It is against us.".
