The Iran International channel reported today (Monday) that the Kata'ab Hezbollah organization, which operates in Iraq with Iranian support, is behind attempts to carry out terrorist acts in Jewish centers in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

According to the report, quoted in 'Kan News', these actions are part of the expansion of Iranian influence beyond the Middle East.

According to several sources, the organization carried out terrorist acts in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan through an operative from Tajikistan - who was recruited through the university where he studied in Iran, and was apparently behind an attempted arson of Jewish centers in Kazakhstan.

The Chief Rabbi of Iran, Rabbi Yehuda Grami, participated on Saturday night in an event held at the Reeds Hotel in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on the 80th anniversary of the death of the Kabbalist Rabbi Levi Yitzhak Schneerson, the late father of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who is buried in the city.

Rabbi Grami said in a speech at the event: "I came in honor of the Rebbe, I came in honor of Rabbi Levi Yitzhak. We are all connected to the Rebbe, the Rebbe is the father of us all.".

Kan News noted that, in addition to sending its arms toward neighboring countries, Iran is also working behind the scenes to mobilize citizens within the State of Israel to act on its behalf.

About two weeks ago, the Shin Bet revealed a series of fictitious profiles on social media, which Iranian intelligence elements use to persuade Israelis to harm the state's security.
