Hundreds of people demonstrated this evening (Wednesday) in front of the Prime Minister's House on Gaza Street in Jerusalem, calling for the release of the hostages - after Hamas released a video of the kidnapped Hirsch Goldberg from Poland.

The protesters overturned trash cans, lit a bonfire in the middle of the road, and clashed with police and Border Guard forces who tried to prevent them from advancing toward the Prime Minister's house. The police used batons to disperse the protesters.

The police said: "Police forces are operating in and around the Paris Square area in Jerusalem, to restore public order, after protesters began disrupting the order in the evening hours by lighting fires, overturning trash cans and fences on the streets, launching fireworks and flares into the air, some of which fell in residential areas.

Many police and Border Guard forces that were called to the scene worked to repel the rioters who did not obey the police instructions, some of whom even resorted to violence against police officers and resisted their removal.

During the disturbances, many of them marched towards Ben Zvi Street and Bezalel Street, disrupting the fabric of life and disrupting vehicle traffic in the area. As a result, the police acted using force to disperse them.

Later, the rioters gathered on King George Street near Paris Square, and after a police officer gave a dispersal order for their actions, numerous police and Border Guard forces began to repel and disperse them from the scene, using force.

Dozens of protesters remain on the sidewalks and police forces are on site to secure the continuation of their protest. So far, 4 suspects have been arrested this evening and taken for questioning for arson and disorderly conduct.

At the same time, dozens of people demonstrated outside the "Welcoming Rabbi" event for religious Zionist rabbis outside the Solomon Temple in Jerusalem, which was attended by Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu and his son, Minister Amichai Eliyahu. When they realized that Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir was also there, they tried to break in.

Ben Gvir left the event surrounded by police, and the protesters charged towards him and his car. Sher stood on his car and waved to them.

He was rescued from the scene under security.
