A lawsuit was filed with the Tel Aviv District Court today (Tuesday) to disqualify Health Minister Ariel Bosso's candidacy for mayor of Bnei Brak, as well as his removal from the Shas list - because he is not a resident of the city.
The lawsuit was filed by Attorney Eitan Haberman on behalf of Attorney Shlomo Albom, a resident of Bnei Brak.
The court is asked in the lawsuit to "issue a declaratory judgment according to which the defendant is not eligible to run for office as a council member and mayor of Bnei Brak in the elections because his permanent place of residence is not within the city of Bnei Brak.".
It should be noted that Buso moved to Bnei Brak at the time of submitting the lists, but returned to live with his family. On Sander Haddad Street In Petah Tikva. For example, the Shin Bet guard post stationed by virtue of his tenure as a government minister was established in Petah Tikva and not in Bnei Brak - there is no guard post in the building where he lived for a time.
The lawsuit presented investigation findings with documentation that Minister Bosso lives in Petah Tikva, and therefore Bosso's candidacy should be disqualified.
According to the lawsuit, starting at 5 a.m., an investigator began surveillance in front of the house in Petah Tikva where the Buso family lives. At 8:34 a.m., according to the lawsuit, Buso was recorded leaving the building, talking to the guard, and getting into a car that arrived.
The next day, an investigator came to the scene again and documented Busso leaving the building with a child, apparently his daughter, at 8:27 AM.
In addition, an investigator arrived at an address in Petah Tikva under the guise of a messenger to deliver a package to the minister. A neighbor in the building confirmed to her that Minister Bosso did indeed live in the building, and the investigator received confirmation of this from the minister's security guard.
Therefore, the plaintiff claims, since he is not a resident of Bnei Brak, he does not meet the eligibility requirements that a person seeking to be elected to a local authority must meet.
As reported in Haredim 10, Attorney Moshe Lippel, a resident of the city of Bnei Brak, filed an administrative petition on Sunday, through Attorney Zvi Sachs, against the candidacy of Health Minister Uriel Bosso for mayor of Bnei Brak on behalf of Shas.
Judge Kobi Vardi of the Tel Aviv Administrative Court ruled in his decision on the petition that a hearing on the status of the parties to the petition will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM.
