
Against the backdrop of the continued fighting in the Gaza Strip: A survey conducted by Midgam, headed by Mano Geva, and published this evening (Tuesday) in the "main edition" of News 12, examined what the public thinks in light of the commotion stirred up by the left around the "Gaza Strip Settlement Conference," in which ministers and members of the coalition participated.
Do you support the renewal of Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip? 51% of those surveyed responded that they oppose it, while 38% expressed support. Among Netanyahu bloc voters, 66% support and 24% oppose; among opposition bloc voters, 13% support and 80% oppose.
And what does the public think about the proposal to promote a hostage deal, in which the fighting would cease for 45 days, and thousands of terrorists would be released?
Of the total sample, 50% responded that they were opposed and 35% responded that they were in favor. Among Netanyahu bloc voters, 12% supported the proposal, 75% opposed; among opposition bloc voters, 53% supported, 32 opposed.
And what does the Israeli public think about the flow of humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip? 72% of those surveyed said it should be stopped until the abductees are returned, 21% said it should continue.
Likewise, 32% of the respondents responded that a state commission of inquiry into the events of October 7 should be established now, 61% responded that the commission should be established only after the end of the war, and only 3% responded that it should not be established at all.
