MK Matan Kahane (State Camp) claims that, contrary to the line led by his party chairman Benny Gantz, efforts should be made to establish a unity government with the Likud.

According to him, such a move should only be made after the next elections, when the power of the state camp party will have increased significantly.

In an interview with Ynet, Kahane said that "our veto on Netanyahu was not personal - it stemmed from the fact that Gantz was the only one who gave him a chance to form a unity government and he was burned. In my opinion, at least, we understood the message. From now on, what is legal is legitimate.".

MK Matan Kahane from the State camp said this morning (Thursday) on Ynet Radio that, contrary to the line the party has led so far, a unity government should be established with Netanyahu as well.

Kahane, who noted that the Yesh Atid party should also join this government, and emphasized that this should only be done after elections.

Kahane emphasized in an interview: "We are in the realm of fantasy - because Gantz said more than once last weekend that such a government, unfortunately at least, is not possible, because it is impossible to trust Netanyahu, who is captive to the extremists. But if we are talking about what is necessary for the State of Israel - it is clear to me that this is the government that is needed. By the way, this is a government, at least in my opinion, that will not boycott anyone. After it establishes the basic lines in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence, anyone who can live with these basic lines - I would at least invite him in.".

Maybe this isn't such an imaginary scenario. If Netanyahu gets rid of the extremist elements in the government - will you be able to get in?

""This scenario is unrealistic. I estimate that it is possible after further elections, under Gantz's leadership.".

That is, after elections, to establish a unity government of Lapid, Gantz, and Netanyahu.

""Gantz, Lapid and Netanyahu. Our veto on Netanyahu was not personal - it stemmed from the fact that Gantz was the only one who gave him a chance to form a unity government and he was burned. In my opinion, at least, we understood the message. From now on, what is legal is legitimate.".

In other words, there is no obstacle to Netanyahu serving as prime minister or at all. The veto was unnecessary.

""I think I was clear. What is legal is legitimate.".
