The Israel Police announced this morning (Wednesday) that officers from the Lahav 433 Cyber Unit arrested three suspects, residents of Kafr Qassem, employees of the Sports Betting Settlement Council - "Toto" - on suspicion of fraud and changing the results of games and fraudulently receiving more than 5 million shekels over a year and a half.
The protest was carried out after investigators from the cyber unit at Lahav 433 opened an investigation into suspected fraud in Toto Council games.
During the investigation, it became clear that the council employee from Kafr Qassem, a technician by profession, carried out actions to change the results of the games for a short period of time, and at the same time, additional suspects on his behalf came to the Toto booths in the center, redeeming the winnings after filling out forms according to the deviations made by the technician.

Immediately after redeeming the fraudulent winnings, the suspect returned the results to the true results.
The investigation also revealed that the suspects fraudulently received over 5 million shekels over a period of about a year and a half.
This morning, the Israel Police investigation became public with the arrest of 3 suspects, all 26 years old, residents of Kafr Qassem.
During a search of the suspects' homes, computers, cellphones, cash, and winner forms and checks were seized, allegedly linking them to the fraud crimes.
This morning, the three suspects were brought for questioning at the offices of Lahav 433's unit. At the conclusion of the interrogation, and based on its findings, they will be brought to the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court for a hearing on extending their detention.
