Some politicians tried to take advantage of the country's 75th anniversary celebrations to gain some PR on social media.

The chairman of the state camp, Benny Gantz, shared a video of himself recommending spraying snow and wires - even though this is dangerous, and dozens of children were hospitalized yesterday after being injured by snow sprays.

Foreign Minister Eli Cohen chose to share a photo of himself eating a falafel dish on his social media accounts - and wrote: "Falafel with a little tahini, the most Israeli, the most delicious, Happy Independence Day.".

But Cohen, who is seen in the photo pouring tahini into his dish, didn't notice: the tahini bottle was new and completely empty. The result: The photo went viral and drew a host of jokes and ridiculous reactions to the minister's prank.

Surfer Uri Tsirlin tweeted: "To God, the bottle is empty." And surfer Matan stated: "There are 2 empty things in the picture.".

Yedidia Grossman Heretz: "Making tahini from an empty bottle is truly a talent.".

Other users responded: "Your bottle is full of air, just like your entire government. It's no surprise that this is what you would publish," and "The bottle in your hand is empty... Is there anything you have that isn't fake or from Express?" And also: "Fake and empty - like the bottle you are holding.".

Another surfer wondered: "Do you know how much a dish costs or did they buy it for you especially for the photo?""

And there were those who insisted: "Falafel is Egyptian after all," and "How the hell is falafel 'the most Israeli'? It's an Arab dish that originated in Egypt after all.".
