MK Almog Cohen of Otzma Yehudit was interviewed today (Tuesday) on Ben Caspit and Didi Harari's program on 103FM, and addressed the violence and crime in the Arab sector in the Negev region, and the 'Facebook Live' video he broadcast from the plenum - which caused a stir.
In the video, he called out to MK Ofer Kassif with the cries of a sheep herder, and said of MK Ahmed Tibi, referring to him being a doctor: "He's a doctor - I wouldn't let him take care of my dog.""
MK Cohen Fatah: "What is currently happening is a wave of violence in the Negev region. According to him, "Our goal is to bring peace to Arab society as well, which it deserves. Today, for example, we are in a period when it is very important to obtain a budget for the Ministry of Public Security. There is something here that is a consensus - the peace, which the citizens of the State of Israel deserve. We are currently requesting the money urgently with the Ministry of Finance, we want to implement our plans.".
When the MK was asked about his video from the plenary session, he replied: "I don't like participating in hypocrisy festivals. This man, Ofer Kassif, last week called me a Nazi, where were you, Ben Kassif? I didn't hear you. Are you demanding from me? Do you know what your problem is sometimes? Racism of low expectations.
""You can call Almog a Nazi and a Yona, that's fine. I don't apologize, not a millimeter. I understand that you don't connect with my style, but I come and represent the people.".
Didi Harari told MK Cohen: "I am completely clear about Ofer Kassif. You know what I will always keep to myself? Never reach his bestial level. The public does not want to hear you talk like that, the public that elected you chose based on your opinions, that you will protect the country, that you will fight crime. That you will protect us as a Jewish state that exists here. But not in this style.".
MK Cohen replied: "In the end, I tried the way you say. It doesn't work. Sometimes you have to talk to them in a language that they understand you. It's a language that they understand perfectly. This man is a man who ends up telling us on Holocaust Remembrance Day, in the State of Israel, in the plenary, in the rostrum, that he lives in a Nazi state. We need to set boundaries for them.".
