Singer Elisaf Hefetz presents a new single clip, based on a rare and chilling letter written by the Lubavitcher Rebbe during the year of mourning for his father-in-law, the Rebbe Rayatz - before he took on the burden of leadership.
In very personal words, addressed to the devout Rabbi Avraham Paris, the Rebbe expresses his heartfelt feelings and intense longing for his rabbi, and he writes to him: "Rabbi Avraham, we must bring the Rebbe back here.".
The Rebbe later writes: "The current situation is too difficult for both me and you, and who benefits from it?!""
The Rebbe's longing for his father-in-law could be felt throughout his years of leadership, but he did not wallow in longing but channeled it into the great mission and the spread of Judaism and Hasidism on a global scale, as his work is known today to every Jew in the world.
The clip, which manages to convey these feelings, is released on the 10th of Shvat, the day of the Rebbe's celebration, and the day the presidency was assumed by his son-in-law and successor, the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

Words:
The longing is increasing.
Quite a few years have passed.
And there is reason to fear that this will become obsolete,
And the light and warmth of connection will fade away.
God forbid.
ditty:
Rabbi Avraham, Rabbi Avraham,
I need to bring it back.
This is the Rabbi.
[We must 'bring' the Rebbe back to us]
Soi, soi is tso schweer,
[The current situation is too difficult]
Both for me and for you.
[Both for me and for you]
And who has enjoyed it?!
[And who benefits from that?!]
Every year every year
Nach maar lebediker, stronger and active
[Even more alive, strong and active]
Between us, within us and by us
There is no Dagantse Welt
[Worldwide]
