Surprising support: Yisrael Beiteinu Chairman MK Avigdor Lieberman expressed support this morning (Tuesday) for singer and composer Eliav Zohar, son of Culture and Sports Minister Mickey Zohar, following tweets on Twitter calling for a boycott of the singer and his performances - due to the storm his father caused when he announced that he would not initiate cultural activities on Shabbat.

Liberman tweeted on his Twitter account: "I read the call to boycott the performances of Eliav Zohar, son of Culture Minister Mickey Zohar. I call on everyone, there is no place for boycotts here and political wars should be left off the playlist. Let the boy sing.".
Last night, one Twitter user tweeted: "Boycott Eliav Zohar's performances, on weekdays and Saturdays.".
Eliyav responded: "The truth is that it makes me very sad. I am not a politician and have no connection to this world. I just love my father always. Anyone who seeks to harm him in my way and punish me for his political decisions is his own business, and I have no interest in responding to it or relating to it. I live and breathe the world of music that speaks to everyone without distinction and without any barriers.".
His father, the minister, retweeted the words with sympathy.
Media personality Geula Even, wife of MK Gideon Sa'ar, responded: "More than sad. Disgusting.".
