The daughter of ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi claims that the person appearing in Egyptian court hearings is not her father but a double.

On Friday, Shima Morsi posted two photos on her Facebook page, one of her father during his days as president of the Muslim Brotherhood, and one as a prisoner in a cage placed in the courthouse in Cairo, and asked netizens to look closely and see: "The man in the cage is not the president.".

""The person on the right side of the picture is my father, and the person on the left is someone else. I'm sure of it," she wrote on Facebook. "Check carefully, it's not him.".

Morsi's daughter claims that the photos she chose show that the two men have similar facial expressions, but only "the discerning" will notice that "the accused is not the president.".

She ends the post with the question, "What happened to him?""
