A 32-year-old man from Bnei Brak was arrested yesterday morning for questioning on suspicion of driving with a license belonging to a person who died many years ago.
The suspect was brought this morning (Sunday) for a hearing at the Bat Yam Traffic Court.
The driver was arrested during an enforcement activity conducted by the Dan District Traffic Team on Jabotinsky Street in Bnei Brak, when a routine check of the driver's licenses revealed that the suspect had never issued a driver's license, and that the temporary driver's license number, which appears on the document he presented, actually belongs to another person who died many years ago.
The suspect was arrested for questioning at the Tel Aviv Probation Unit for driving a vehicle without a driver's license and presenting a forged document, after which he was imprisoned.
The investigation into his case continues.
