A Facebook page called 'Notes I Took from the Western Wall,' which has so far received more than 8,000 likes, is sparking outrage online, as it violates the privacy of people who place notes at the Western Wall.

The founder of the group, which was founded last year, but has accumulated many comments and thousands of likes in recent days, posts notes that were buried in the Western Wall, revealing them for all to see, some of which have particularly personal content.

The founder of the page wrote that his name is Amos, 41, from Holon, and he is posting the notes under the pretext of "the public's right to know.".

""It is impossible that in 2014 there is a distinctly religious mechanism operated by the State of Israel, in complete coordination with the authorities and public funds, that allows many people to write their most hidden secrets and encrypt them on a wall in complete anonymity," he claims.

""The goal is to expose the public to this wonder called 'Secrets of the Western Wall,'" he explains, promising not to publish the names of the advertisers.

Amos also hinted in his post that he was receiving threats in response to the group he started.

""I don't believe it," wrote a surfer, "but I think you are a lifeless person who takes notes from the Western Wall to humiliate other people and to be a bully, and not because 'the public has the right to know.'".

And surfer Ayelet responded: "These are personal notes from people with the letter 'H', it's really not nice what they're doing here and publishing. I'm sure no one would want that done to them.".
