Two ultra-Orthodox men were attacked with an air rifle last night in Monsey, New York, just two weeks after four suspects were arrested in a similar attack, the Monsey Scope reported. According to a report on the YWN website, a Hasidic priest and a young man crossing a street in Monsey late on Saturday night were attacked by passengers of a passing Toyota Corolla who fired tear gas at them. The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m. at the intersection of Decatur and W. Central avenues, when a suspect in a black vehicle opened fire on them, hitting one of the Hasidic men in the cheek. Police and volunteers from the Rockland County Friends organization were called to the scene. A volunteer from the area Friends managed to obtain the license plate number of the vehicle from which the shooting was carried out, which was later provided to the investigation team. The incident is still under investigation, although no arrests have been made. According to the report, four arrests have been made in recent weeks for similar attacks on Jews in the area of ​​Route 306.
