Former MK Yaakov Litzman, who resigned from the Knesset yesterday to avoid disgrace in the indictment filed against him, spoke this morning (Thursday) with Nissim Mashal and Guy Peleg on 103FM - and made a prediction: "I predict that there will be elections soon.".

During the conversation, Litzman revealed: "There was a point when Netanyahu was ready to move on and let someone else head the government.".

When asked about the conduct of the incumbent government, and Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman in particular, he said: "The Finance Minister also smells elections, which is why he is starting our campaign. He has a dirty mouth and doesn't ask questions. We wait every week to bring down the government and bring the elections forward.".

Regarding the possibility of cooperation with the coalition, he answered firmly: "Someone wants to throw me in the trash and I will cooperate with them? There are other politics. We want to overthrow the government, bring in an alternative prime minister or bring the elections forward.".

Later, he personally attacked Minister Ze'ev Elkin: "He's just a bad person, look at everything he does to us all the time. He runs the coalition behind the scenes - he's fighting to survive and I'm fighting to survive too.".

On leaving the Knesset, he explained: "Being there is hard work. I loved being of service to my public and I did my job faithfully.".

When asked about the criminal offense he committed, he claimed: "I didn't commit anything. There's a trial next week.".

When asked whether the ultra-Orthodox parties are not paying a price for sticking to opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu, he replied: "There was a certain point when Netanyahu was ready to move, but I'm not willing to go into details. We all tried together, but beyond that we had no real alternative.".
