Nehemiah Strassler, editor and economic commentator at Haaretz, published an offensive column today (Tuesday), under the title "If there were yeshiva students in the restaurant and they weren't going undercover" - against the ultra-Orthodox public.
""I wonder what would have happened if, instead of those undercover in the Hadera restaurant, there had been a few yeshiva students specializing in Torah studies sitting there. Would the event have ended with only two deaths then?" he wondered.
He added in a column that is all about attacking the Haredi public: "The Haredim have a clear answer on the matter. It is God who fights, not those who go undercover. This is also the reason why they came in droves to the funeral of the 'Teacher of the Torah', Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky. Not only because of his honor, but also because it was a political funeral. They wanted to prove that they still have power, even when they are outside the government.".
An ultra-Orthodox media person says in response to Haredim 10: "And what if there were high-tech people or jobbers sitting there? There are about 350 different homogeneous groups that I can write about that if they were sitting in a restaurant, they wouldn't have neutralized the terrorists - from infiltrator children to even soldiers with weapons who have undergone about 02 rifle training. But hey, the ultra-Orthodox!""
Haredi activist Zalman Wolf responded in a tweet on Twitter: "I wonder what would have happened, if instead of the undercover people in the Hadera restaurant, there had been a few journalists who specialize in everything and have a solid opinion on every issue, would the event have ended with only two deaths?""
Mr. Shtesler. If my son, a graduate of the Duvdevan unit, was at the scene of the attack and you were there, he would have saved you too. Shame on you. By the way, he is a yeshiva graduate. pic.twitter.com/KUGW1JcTnC

Media figure Yinon Magal responded: "The commander of the undercover officers who killed the terrorists said that they never eat in Hadera, but stop at Rufin, but that particular evening one of them insisted on going to a certain restaurant in Hadera.
""Dear Mr. Strassler, yeshiva students at least pray every day for the salvation of the people of Israel. That is safer than what you did for the event.".
