Otzma Yehudit Chairman, MK Itamar Ben-Gvir, said: "Only about a year ago, the High Court of Justice rejected my petition to place magnetometers for Arabs, like for Jews, about fifty meters from the Temple Mount. If they had done this, the difficult consequences would have been avoided. When terrorism raises its head, its head should be taken off. Anyone who tries to murder Jews should be shot between the eyes and send a message to those who come after him that this is the end of every terrorist.".
MK Ben Gvir added: "The government's lack of governance encourages terrorists to carry out attacks. In the meantime, until the government wakes up and kicks out the Muslim Brotherhood, the terrorist's house should be demolished and his family members should be expelled from the country.".

His party chairman, MK Bezalel Smotrich: "I ask to strengthen the hands of the security forces in Jerusalem and call on all of us to pray for the healing of the wounded. Terrorism must be eradicated with an iron fist while cutting off the hope that motivates it. Its supporters must be condemned and not included in the government.".
MK Orit Struk: "While we are all praying for the safety of the wounded - the Hamas spokesman congratulates the attack at the gates of the Temple Mount. What will the spokesman for the political arm of the Islamic movement in Israel say?".
MK Miri Regev of the Likud wrote: "The political laxity of the Bennett-Lapid government and their inclusive conduct towards the Islamic movement in the government is showing its signs. Terrorism is raising its head, second attack in four days. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. My condolences to the family of the murdered.".
The Im Tirtzu movement stated: "We have been warning for weeks about the rise in incitement regarding the Temple Mount. We warned about the return to activity of the deputy chairman of the northern faction of the Islamic Movement, Sheikh Kamel Khatib, about his calls to 'expell the filth and dirt' from the Temple Mount. We contacted the security services, the police, and the Minister of the Interior and said that it is only a matter of time until the incitement turns into murder. We once again call for the immediate arrest of Khatib and the other instigators with him. The blood libels on the Temple Mount are life-threatening and we must not stand in the face of them with equanimity!".
Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon: "This morning's incident is a step up in the conduct of terrorist elements. Security needs to be increased in the Old City. I hope that the security forces will do their best in examining and investigating the incident, and in securing the area.".
