Kosher counterfeits again ahead of Passover: 8 tons of game meat, which was on its way to be marketed in Israel as kosher meat, were seized at a butcher shop in the village of Tamra in the Western Galilee.

Members of the Ministry of Agriculture's Enforcement and Investigations Unit [Pitzah] arrived at the slaughterhouse in the village following intelligence information, and in cooperation with police and security forces, confiscated the meat and equipment found there. Among other things, the investigators found seals (labels) of various kosher products, and a gun that attaches the seals to the meat packages.

Besides the kashrut fraud, the meat was kept in inadequate conditions and without veterinary supervision.

The Ministry of Agriculture reported that during the raid, a huge refrigerator was found, hidden behind a wall, in which dozens of tons of packaged meat were stored, with the name appearing on the packaging being "Bladi Slaughterhouse" under the supervision of the Rabbinate of the Valley Settlements.

The supervisor of the Bloody Factory, who was called to the scene, informed the Chief Rabbinate that the meat did not leave the factory and that the labels were fake. In addition, game meat imported from New Zealand, in violation of the law, was confiscated.

The members of the intelligence unit destroyed most of the meat that was seized.
