The chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, MK Ram Ben Barak of Mish Atid, could not ignore their presence in the gallery, and congratulated them. "Young, beautiful, healthy guys, with God's help. May the people of Israel be blessed," said Ben Barak - and wished them well in enlisting in the army.
MK Bezalel Smotrich, the chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, also addressed the gallery full of yeshiva students. This was when he declared that "the gates of repentance have not been closed," and made it clear that he is not closing the door to the possibility of Naftali Bennett returning to the right-wing camp, alongside the Likud, the Religious Zionist Party, and the Haredi parties.
During his speech, Smotrich addressed the yeshiva students - and said: "And we also know that the Rambam says, and the members up here certainly know - 'Those who delay from repentance are delaying, they are not preventing.'".
Media figure Israel Black responded: "The ultra-Orthodox political reporters who tweet against my boys are right." The Yeshiva "They are sitting in the Knesset gallery! They are still at risk of getting sucked into this, quitting their studies, dropping out of the yeshiva and, God forbid, deteriorating to the point of becoming political reporters.".
And another Twitter user tweeted: "I have no problem with yeshiva guys coming to watch the plenum. I think it's better than watching games in explosions. But what intrigues me most: Which MK issues them so many entry permits?""
