143 confirmed cases per day on average: Tel Aviv, Kfar Saba and Herzliya - 'yellow''

Outbreak of the Indian strain in Israel: Data from the Ministry of Health this morning (Sunday) indicates that out of 32,703 test results received yesterday, 115 people were diagnosed as confirmed to have the virus in 37 different localities across the country.

The data shows that an average of 143 confirmed cases were diagnosed per day last week.

Of the 115 confirmed cases found yesterday, 65 were students and 6 educational staff members were identified with them. It was also found that 18 of the patients confirmed yesterday were people who had returned from abroad.

Over the weekend, nine people who arrived from Russia were diagnosed with the coronavirus – a destination that is prohibited from flying to due to the disease in the country.

The IDF reported that as of this morning, 11 conscripts, permanent service members, and IDF employees have been diagnosed with the coronavirus in mild condition.

Following the increase in coronavirus cases in Israel, a number of localities have changed their color according to the definition of the traffic light: Kfar Saba, Herzliya, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Tzofim and Aviel are defined as yellow localities, Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut and Kochav Yair have become orange localities, and Benyamina-Giv'at Ada remains red as it was defined last week.

This morning, 26 patients are hospitalized in critical condition, 17 of whom are on ventilators. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 6,429 people have died. 5,538,209 people in Israel were vaccinated with the first dose and 5,156,188 people received the second dose.
