Police forces, the Border Guard, and volunteers from the Etzion-Yehuda Rescue Unit have been working since the evening hours (Thursday) to locate a 14-year-old Haredi boy who lost contact with him in the afternoon - while he was in the KKL-JNF grove area near the Beit Jamal Monastery near Beit Shemesh.
At the time, the boy was on a Talmud Torah trip.
The search was launched after a report was received in the afternoon from a Talmud Torah teacher about the boy, who was last seen shortly after 4:00 PM in the eucalyptus forest during a trip - and has since been lost to trace.
The missing boy, a resident of Beit Shemesh, is not equipped with a cell phone.
The rescuers are searching, among other things, in water holes in the area.
The Israel Police Air Unit helicopter was also called to the scene to assist ground forces from the air in the searches.
