In an interview that Naftali Bennett gave to commentator Amit Segal over the weekend, the chairman of the Yamina party said that "Mansour Abbas does not support terrorism" - this is in continuation of the efforts of Knesset members to present the Ra'am party as a moderate and legitimate party.

In a letter sent this morning (Monday) by the "Voters for Life" forum of bereaved families and victims of terrorism to the heads of the "Boycott Bloc," the forum's research department reveals that at the RAAM party conference, where the party's list for the Knesset elections was presented, Sheikh Akrama Tsabari was invited, who was the guest of honor and keynote speaker at the conference.

The forum also reveals that last year, members of the Ra'am party, led by Mansour Abbas, made a pilgrimage to show solidarity with Sabri, following his investigation for incitement.

Tsabari, who previously served as the 'Mufti of Jerusalem' after being appointed by Yasser Arafat, became famous, among other things, for a religious ruling he published supporting suicide attacks carried out against Israeli civilians.

In 2002, Sabri published a pamphlet called "Palestine - Man and the Land," which includes anti-Semitic motifs drawn from the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion." In this pamphlet, he challenged the historical right of the Jews to the Land of Israel and the legitimacy of the continued existence of the State of Israel.

Sabri repeated these words many times in his sermons.

In 2001, he was questioned following his meeting in Beirut with Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. In 2007, Sabri was banned from entering the Netherlands due to his radical positions against Israel.

Following the disclosure of the information, the organization "Voters for Life" this morning addressed the leaders of the Left Bloc party, including members of Yamina and New Hope, demanding that they clarify whether the Ra'am party's connection with the terror-supporting sheikh was known to them when they decided to agree to form a government, of which this party is an integral part.
