Hate crime on Holocaust Remembrance Day: Unknown individuals sprayed swastikas overnight (Thursday) on the 'Yin Kosher Or HaGnuz' wine store located on Sderot Yerushalayim Street, in downtown Ramat Gan.

Next to the store, which is owned by an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, was also placed a disturbing representation, symbolizing the Holocaust, of a pile of shoes.

Police were called to the store and an investigation was opened.

The police statement said: "The police have opened an investigation into suspicions of graffiti being sprayed on a store in Bar. The police opened an investigation tonight upon receiving a report of swastikas being sprayed on a store on Jerusalem Boulevard in Bar. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.".

This is a wine store that has already made headlines this year after the Haredi owner, Amnon Goldis, hung a sign at the store's entrance that read: "Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.".

For hanging the sign, he was fined by the Ramat Gan Municipality.
