Construction and Housing Minister Yaakov Litzman estimated this morning (Wednesday) that the political fumble is leading to a fifth election - and claimed that a partnership with Lieberman and Lapid is worse than a partnership with the Arab parties.

In an interview with Kol Brama, Litzman attacked the president of the state: "If the president imposed the task of forming a government on Netanyahu, then he should have gone all the way with it. You can't just do it halfway. President Rivlin evaded all members of Knesset, not just Netanyahu.".

Referring to the political impasse, he said: "I spoke with Smotrich yesterday, I understood that there are formulas for a solution.".

Regarding Smotrich's attack on the United Torah Judaism party during the elections, Litzman said: "It definitely bothered me that the prime minister promoted Smotrich at our expense, and I told him that before the elections. We will clarify this with him, but now is not the time.".

Regarding the talks to form a government, he said: "There's no way we'll sit down with either Lapid or Lieberman, get that out of the way. All the dreams that we can talk to the Haredim are all nonsense. We are in a bloc with Netanyahu, unequivocally.".

On the possibility of a connection with the Arab parties: "I don't know about the connection with them, but I know that the connection with Lieberman and Lapid is even worse.".

He assessed that the political mess is complicated: "It seems like we're going to a fifth election, but it's clear that we're going only with Netanyahu. With the ego that exists today, it's not certain that he will succeed in forming a government.".
