At the end of the prayer, which was held in accordance with all Ministry of Health guidelines, Chabad emissary Rabbi Nachum Cohen surprised him with a document written by his father, the late Nachum Gantz, 44 years ago, as a member of the Labor Party conference.

In the document, Gantz Sr., a resident of Kfar Achim, asked the chairman of the conference presidency, the late Shlomo Hillel, to end the discussion on Friday before noon, in order to "allow members to reach their homes before the start of Shabbat.".

It was a Shabbat of remembrance.
