Repealing the law requires a majority of 70 MKs.
Karai explained: "In the face of Blue and White's threats against Israeli citizens in an election campaign during a pandemic, a better alternative must be put on the table for the benefit of Israeli citizens.".
""If Blue and White takes us to the elections, it is expected from the right to support this law. Otherwise, how will they explain to their voters that they left Nissenkorn and Gantz in their positions for another six months, when there is a possibility of repealing the replacement government law, firing them and preventing them from further harming the citizens of Israel," he claimed.
Kari mentioned the statement of the opposition chairman, MK Yair Lapid, during the enactment of the law on April 27, 2020: "I am announcing here to the cameras that at any moment that Bibi asks to repeal this law, we will tell him - yes.".
Lapid then added: "We will agree to return these laws to their original form. Why? Because we respect democracy and these terrible, shameful, and degrading laws should be repealed.".

According to Kari, "This is a test of his credibility. In general, why would he want to go to the elections with Gantz in confidence, Ashkenazi out, and Nissenkorn in the courts? Why would he allow them to carry out kidnappings to take votes from him instead of making them simple MKs?"
""In light of the government's performance, and the obstacles that Blue and White are putting in the way of every step, and in light of Blue and White's violation of the coalition agreement, which began with the diversion of State Attorney General Eldad in order to strengthen the rule of law gang, through votes against the government and ongoing disruption of its functioning, and to the failure to establish the committee required by the coalition agreement for senior appointments, such an alternative is needed.".
