New data published in recent days presents a bleak picture regarding the coronavirus outbreak in the Haredi sector, according to which 341% of the virus cases are concentrated in the sector.
ZAKA Chairman Yehuda Meshi Zahav addressed the alarming figure this morning (Thursday), explaining that the Haredi public is confused - also politically.
""The Haredi public is confused, the confusion is not only political, it has already become sectional - Lithuanians and Hasidim. On the one hand, you see the Lithuanian rabbis giving unequivocal instructions that gatherings are prohibited and praying in the synagogue is prohibited, everything is exactly according to the instructions.
""On the other hand, we see the rebbes and the Hasidic courts putting a stop to it and laughing, and we hear the Rebbe of Belz saying that it is no different from any other flu and he is not the only one," he said.
